Who we are
We are a team of educators creating resources for children, their caregivers and educators that focus on body safety education, consent, gender equality and building social and emotional intelligence.
We aim to equip children, parents, and educators with effective tools for teaching vital topics essential for children's safe and healthy development.
About the author
Nirmala Ganesh is a retired school teacher with over 30 years of experience in teaching Science to children from ages 10 to 15 years. During her years of teaching, she was always struck by the limited (and often incorrect!) information children had about their bodies, private parts, reproduction and sexual health. She also realised that most children were unable to talk to their parents about these topics as they were considered taboo. When she retired, she wanted to focus on helping kids have a better and age-appropriate understanding about their bodies and sexual health. She chose storybooks as the medium to teach children about body safety, reproduction and sexual health.
